New National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage Rates have been announced by the government. From the 1st April 2021 the rates are as followed:
The biggest change you will notice is that the National Living Wage will apply from age 23, not age 25, so employers will need to review current pay rates and also ages of some of their younger employees when planning for 2021.
Remember – National Insurance, holiday pay and pension contribution also need to be factored in. This is something that we at onestep factor in if supplying temporary staff.
