This year marks the fifth anniversary for the Somerset Skills & Careers Fair and we’re delighted to announce a brand new feature.

Away from the main hall in a quieter part of the venue, visitors will find ‘Choices for Life’ organised by Somerset County Council. New for 2017 and designed by young people, this is an exhibit to help vulnerable young people access the information, advice and guidance required to make the best choices in their education and future lives.

Open to all, we anticipate this feature will be particularly relevant for young people who may need support in preparing for adult-life and will include information and advice for parents/carers. There will be a number of themed zones addressing these questions:

  • How can I live more independently?
  • How can I choose my next school or college?
  • How can I find things to do in my spare time?
  • How can I find a job and keep a job?
  • How can I stay safe and healthy?

We’re proud to add another dimension to the Careers Fair, making it even more inclusive for the workforce of tomorrow. Find out more information on this fantastic event here: https://www.onestepfoundation.co.uk/careers-fair/
