New National Living Wage Rates have been announced by the government. From the 1st April 2024 the rates are as followed:
National Living Wage – £11.44
18-20 Years Old Rate – £8.60
Under 18 Years Old – £6.40
The biggest change you will notice is that the National Living Wage will apply from age 20, not age 23. Employers will need to review current pay rates and ages of some of their younger employees when planning for 1st April 2024.
Remember – National Insurance, holiday pay and pension contribution also need to be factored in. This is something that we at One Step factor in when supplying temporary staff.
