A leader and Managing Director is someone you look up to. Our Founder and MD Nick Mock goes above and beyond that – and this week we want to celebrate Nick’s 20th year at the head of One Step Recruitment.
The fact that the average “life span” of a recruiter is 6 months, and our youngest member of staff has been with One Step over a year is testament to Nick’s focus on the ethos, training and development of people within our company, and his continued valuing of the people that make up his team. His leadership and drive to work within and for Somerset and wider South West region is proven beyond doubt.
Our Commercial Manager James Tuckett had these kind words to say – “For those that know Nick he is charismatic, enthusiastic and inspirational, and having worked for Nick for over 4 years now I have seen how he loves to see people become successful and team players”.
Our Industrial Manager and, second to Nick, the longest serving member of the One Step family Steve Eagle – “Working with Nick for 15 years has been educational, demanding, challenging and genuine… He once explained to me that work and life is like a bank account. You have to put in, to get out…All of us that have succeeded will be testament to this. We have worked through a number of challenges including the credit crunch of 2008, which was a challenging period for the world at that time, but Nick never let it get to him, Nick ALWAYS kept on going and always came up with a solution… Nick has always challenged us to do better. You have to be doing something right to be in business for 20 years”.
