Our Chard branch has added a new member of staff to their busy ranks – Amber Thorne!
Amber has joined us as a Receptionist and Administrator, working closely with our brilliant Administrator Claudia and learning from some of our busiest and most successful consultants.
Amber registered with our agency seeking a new commercial challenge, in her own words:
“I have done a few different roles recently, all while trying to work out what I wanted to do as a career. For the past couple of years I’ve been working primarily in customer service and retail roles.
I registered with One Step as I was looking to change and move into start a front of house, reception or administration role. About a week after I was registered Ania contacted me about an office role for them, and now here I am; enjoying every day here, learning and developing admin and customer service skills and working within a lovely team!”
Ania, our Chard Team Leader, saw potential straight away:
“Amber came to us in October 2019 looking for work, and at the time we were looking for a part time receptionist in the Chard branch.
As soon as I registered Amber – Claudia and myself looked at each other and both said – Amber would be just perfect for the role (looking at her skills and personality). I knew she was looking for a full time receptionist in a garage/car dealership, as she has got a strong interest in cars.
I decided to take my chance and called Amber offering her the role with us. She was very keen and after an interview we offered her the job… It was a great choice: she has been brilliant.
She is always early, asks what she can do to help when she finishes her tasks and always very keen to learn and help. I could not think of a better person to join us for the role and I’m so happy to have Amber in our team”.
