One Step are above all a relationship-first company, so our consultants are not only the face of the company, but a long term partner for anyone who uses our services – our consultants are truly our front line!

One of our more specific and highly sought after Awards that are given at our Awards Night is the “Most Improved Award” – this is given to the consultant who has shown such commitment to the company and such consistent and improved service to our candidates and clients that they stand as a prime example of how to be that perfect front line consultant.

However, 2019 was an incredibly successful year and rewarding for so many of our consultants, with milestones hit and records broken – so the award was given to TWO consultants, Maisie Brown and James Slipper, in honour of both of their respective successes.

Maisie’s award was given in recognition of her outstanding commitment to growing her desk, building on the foundations she built throughout 2018 and working above and beyond the call of duty – from her diligently running her hospitality desk out of hours, to smashing targets throughout 2019 and into 2020, she was fully deserving of the award – “I’ve spent 3 years in our Taunton office and every year provides a new challenge – 2019 was a really encouraging year for me, from being able to grow my relationship with some of our biggest events clients through my Hospitality consultancy (and supporting the Cricket World Cup!), to working alongside our established Industrial team in growing my desk . Bring on 2020!”

James Slipper has had a brilliant 2019 – from hard working beginnings as an Administrator in Taunton, he’s moved to our award winning Chard branch and hit the ground running and 2019 has made him a recruitment force to be reckoned with – his attention to detail, speed of learning and his customer service is beyond repute and sets a fantastic standard – I am extremely grateful to be awarded ‘Most improved 2019’! During our awards evening Nick used the phrase “moving forward” which describes last year for me; moving from the Taunton Branch to our Chard Branch as part of my development to becoming a recruitment consultant. This has allowed me to learn a variety of skills…I feel confident within my role and enjoy working as part of an effective team.

I am looking forward to the year ahead with continued development and progression within my role.”

WELL DONE MAISIE AND JAMES!
