Today marks the five year anniversary of joining One Step for Adriana, Branch Manager of our Chard office, and what an inspirational, rewarding journey it has been. Read her incredible story here – it just goes to show that taking a chance and working hard are a magic mix:
“I remember the first day I stepped into a One Step office back in 2013. Coming from Spain, I had only been in the UK for 1 week and I could barely speak English, which didn’t go unnoticed during my first interview!
I began my adventure with One Step as a Branch Administrator for our Chard office. I grasped the opportunity to learn as much as I could about this interesting sector while also learning the language, so I could help others achieve their dreams – just as I was about to do myself.
In 2014 I was promoted to a full-time Receptionist/Branch Administrator and in 2015 I was over the moon to become an official Recruitment Consultant. Thinking it couldn’t get any better; in 2016 I had the great honour and responsibility of becoming the Chard Branch Manager where I remain today.
I could not be more grateful to our MD Mr Mock for taking a chance on me and nurturing me through my career, enabling me to master the intense, yet rewarding world of recruitment. As I sit here today, proud of another productive day with my brilliant team, I cannot believe it has been five years. I can honestly say that I would choose One Step Recruitment all over again – thank you for being the REAL step to making my dream job a reality.”
