The digital right to work check has been extended until 5th April 2022.

This means that in order to check someones right to work in the UK you do not need to physically see these individuals in person.

Trying to find staff is difficult at the best of times but most recently it has become even harder and with the pandemic and Brexit, the digital checks allow us here at One Step Recruitment to check their right to work in the UK. Since the pandemic digital checks has allowed recruiters and companies to hire quickly and safely as well as improve their compliance, this coupled with the labour shortage the digital right to work check allowed us to react quickly to our client requirements.

With the delay now extended to 5th April 2022 it has allowed us to continue that process and continue to react quickly.  However, with businesses opening up again recently we have been inviting candidates to come into branch and register with us.  We will then also carry out the right to work checks and also discuss various opportunties that we have with our clients.

Being able to maintain social distancing and complete the relevant documentation and interview these candidates physically now we feel gives us the upper hand in terms of getting the right staff in the right place first time, meaning happy candidates and happy employers!
