One Step Recruitment have always prided ourselves on supporting local charities in any way we can – either through direct donation and sponsorship to charitable efforts, or through our own Foundation and Skills Fairs – and we’re very lucky to be able to continually support charitably minded candidates and businesses.
We were contacted this week by our loyal candidate and brilliant local chef Barry Phipps to make a donation in his name to a sponsored charity, The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation, as a nod to our support of his career and to give something back to our community.
Barry’s charitable outreach and want to give back has also been matched by our MD, Nick Mock, who will equal Barry’s donation. The donation now stands at £120!
The Wedding Wishing Well was set up in 2012 by Naomi Thomas with a single purpose: organising and funding weddings for terminally ill people. Their efforts to organise and plan weddings for people with life limiting or terminal illness is an incredible gift and through working with fantastic suppliers and service providers Naomi has established her unique charity throughout the South West, and plans to expand her charity nationally.
We’re proud to sponsor the Wedding Wishing Well, and thanks to amazing candidates like Barry we hope to help them in the future too.
